Privacy Policy
1. Introduction and Scope
Denise Stubbs, CPA, PLLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides coaching and consulting services to business owners. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit our websites, register for a masterclass or webinar, book a call, opt in to communications, or otherwise engage with our coaching and consulting offerings (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy applies only to our coaching and consulting activities. It does not govern any certified public accounting, tax preparation, tax resolution, or attest engagement you may separately enter into with us. Those services are governed by a separate engagement agreement and, where applicable, a separate privacy notice issued under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and related professional standards.
We operate primarily within the United States. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, telephone or mobile number, business name and role, and any information you submit through forms, applications, surveys, bookings, or communications with us. We may also collect payment-related information through our third-party payment processors; we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
We automatically collect certain technical information when you visit our sites, including IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URLs, and engagement data, through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to provide and deliver the Services; communicate with you about events, content, and offers you have requested; schedule and confirm appointments and meetings; process payments; respond to inquiries; improve our Services and marketing; and comply with legal obligations. We process this information based on your consent, our legitimate business interests, and the performance of any agreement with you.
4. SMS / Text Messaging Program
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text (SMS) messages. The nature and frequency depend on the program you join:
• Appointment and account reminders. When you book a call or meeting, we use SMS to confirm and remind you of appointment times and upcoming meetings.
• Program updates and marketing (only if you separately opt in). Where you have given prior express written consent, we may send event reminders, content, and promotional messages.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for assistance. We honor opt-out requests promptly. We send messages only within permitted hours and identify ourselves in our messages.
WE DO NOT SELL OR SHARE YOUR MOBILE OPT-IN INFORMATION OR SMS CONSENT WITH ANY THIRD PARTY FOR THEIR MARKETING PURPOSES.
Your consent to receive text messages from us is used solely to deliver the messages described above.
5. Email Communications
If you opt in to email, we may send newsletters, event information, and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act. Unsubscribing from marketing email does not stop transactional messages such as appointment confirmations or receipts.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate our sites, measure performance, and support advertising. These may include Google Analytics, the Meta / Facebook Pixel, and scheduling and video tools such as Calendly and Zoom. These tools may collect usage data and, in the case of advertising pixels, may share limited data with the platform to measure and target advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect site functionality.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with: (a) service providers and processors who perform functions on our behalf, such as email and SMS platforms, payment processors, scheduling and webinar tools, hosting, and analytics, under contracts requiring them to protect your data; (b) advertising platforms solely for measurement and the advertising you have consented to, excluding SMS consent as stated in Section 4; (c) authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights; and (d) a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.
9. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us using the information in Section 13. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, and we will verify your identity before responding.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-Party Links and Services
Our sites and content may link to third-party websites and platforms we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
